cvs from the last couple of days has forced me back to using two vcr's
as backups. I hadn't updated for three weeks because I didn't see any
changes that I felt I "had to have now". Now mythtv is completely
unusable on my system. I update the ivtv driver at the same time so
now I get the occasional 0 MB recording! 8( Up until this update it
was completely reliable 99% of the time.

I think the ivtv developer is working on the buffer issue but I haven't
seen any changes commited yet.

Back to Mythtv. Besides the above problems, mythtv segfaults when I
try to scroll in the watch recordings menu. This usually doesn't
happen with the first recording in the list. It crashes on the second
one then on the first one every time I restart the frontend. I can't
seem to watch live tv after this either. I don't see any messages in
/var/log/messages, backend log, or frontendlog.

The log messages below are from this morning. Both the front and back
ends were running. The backend was dead when I got home tonight
though. I've haven't had the backend die since I started using
mythtv.

My system:
Shuttle MN31N nForce2
Barton XP 2500
256 MB x 2 PC2700
2 x 120 GB Seagate 7200.7 drives running LVM
RedHat 9 updated using apt-get
2 x PVR-250
ALSA but can't seem to enable native ALSA in myth using /dev/dsp

I guess I'll try to get a backtrace after primetime.

Thanks,
Vinton
