[mythtv-users] lirc and ir blaster question

I am running MythTV 0.12 installed from apt-get
(bleeding) on an ASUS Pundit with a PVR-250 card. I am
trying to setup my ir blaster to control my dct-2000
cable box (no serial port :-(). I did the following:

[root at htpc contrib]# /sbin/modprobe lirc_serial irq=4
io=0x3f8
[root at htpc contrib]# /usr/bin/irsend SEND_ONCE
gi-motorola-dct2000 3
/usr/bin/irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE
gi-motorola-dct2000 3
/usr/bin/irsend: hardware does not support sending

I updated /etc/lircd.conf with the dct2000 remote spec
(together with the pvr-250 remote spec).

Any clues on what might be happening?
