Did you look here:

Myth's .nuv files are a special tweak of the NuppelVideo format by
Isaac. They are /not/ standard NuppelVideo files. (Unless you're
recording with a PVR-x50, in which case the files are really standard
MPEG-2 ".mpg" files with the extension changed to ".nuv"). See the
above link for some tools that can help you transcode to a standard
format.
