This means that the library is already installed. Check
/usr/lib/libxvidcore*. Then check ldconfig -p and run ldconfig (as
root) if the library hasn't been mentioned.

apt-get needs something like "xvidcore=0.9.2-2_2.rh9.at" (note the
equal sign) or better simply "xvidcore".
