Well, I don't know much about Knoppmyth but I think it is a modified
debian and I think R4 of it had mythtv 0.12 (which has 350-tv-out in it)
the only question is what version of ivtv it has.  Worse comes to worse
you can go to 

http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/axboe/ivtv

get the latest driver then 'make install' it.  That part is easy (most
of the time).  Next you'll have to read the file ivtv/drivers/ivtv-fb.h 
The first part of that file is the readme on how to set up X to work
with the tv-out.  Give it a try, the tv-out of the 350 is worth it.  BUT
it will probably break your mythdvd and your mythvideo...
