[mythtv-users] At an utter loss - mythmusic

Using Gentoo, and quite simply...  Baffled.

I emerged Mythtv, mythdvd, mythnews, mythweather, and mythmusic.  All of
which work, except mythmusic.  Which really is the big issue.  For some
reason Mythmusic just doesn want to play well.  XMMS plays everything just
fine.  

The error I receive is 

Playlist.o: Hey! I can't load playlists if you don't give me a hostname!
Playlist.o: Hey! I can't load playlists if you don't give me a hostname!
Setting master volume: : Invalid argument
Setting PCM volume: : Invalid argument
Reading PCM volume: : Invalid argument

Searching the archives, it was suggested to run mythfrontend.  Which I am
running and just scratching my head.  I was worried about permission issues
and well, went through and looked at everything and it all looks fine.  I
have gone so far as to reload the DB from scratch and still no go.  Any
ideas?
