[mythtv-users] transcoding script for your consideration

There's a lot of work to make mythtv automatically transcode files, but
these aren't finished and normally convert to .nuv, which is a useless
format for most purposes.

So, I wrote a script that prompts a user for input and backs up files
from the recorded database. The script even checks input for validity.
It must be run by a user with permission to play with mysql.

The script prompts for a choice of title, then subtitle, then video
bitrate. The audio is copied as is, since most people probably have
their audio in mp3 format anyway. If you have raw audio, you can tweak
the script yourself.

I use mencoder for transcoding.

I am poorly selftaught with regards to bash scripting, so please submit
better versions.
