[mythtv-users] Low speed data port

I am starting two projects one is a MythTv box and the other is upgrading to
Satellite. Cable just went up to $48 and digital cable is around $60.

So a easy question as I am still researching but would like to get the
satellite dish in the next few days. If I get a receiver with a "low speed
data port" will I be able to control no matter what brand. I am looking at the
hughes receiver and I have only read people getting the data port working on
the Sony and RCA receiver boxes.

I just want to say MythTv looks awsome and I can't wait to get it working.
