        Really?  That's not what you said.  You said:

        If you're watching at 2130h, as far as MythTV is concerned,
recording is not complete -- you're watching it while it's recording.
It doesn't matter whether you're 30 minutes behind or 1 minute
behind.  Chris, Bruce, and Isaac have explained in great detail why
commercial skipping is slow in this case.

        If what you're saying now is that commercial skipping is slow
(today) on a program that finished recording yesterday, then that's
something else.
