[mythtv-users] s-video over cat 5

Please excuse my foot in mouth....

SVideo isn't designed to run at those lengths, but further investigation 
reveals that the cables Mark is talking about is double shielded and it 
also separates the signals to combat signal loss and interference.

At this point it is unclear to me what would work better.  I wonder if 
the baluns convert the signal to a digital signal or if they simply 
'convert' the analog signal to something that is more transportable.

Perhaps someone can comment and help address my ignorance.
