[mythtv-users] mplayer problems...

I've just upgraded from 0.7 to 0.8 on my RH8-based system, added
mythmusic and mythvideo and found myself with a load of problems :) This
evening I've been playing with mythvideo and have everything almost
working but for a couple of niggling problems with mplayer (0.90).

The first of these is that when mplayer starts it attempts to set the
tty into raw mode for keyboard input.  This is ok running mplayer from
an xterm, but when mythfrontend is started from xinit stdin is not a tty
and mplayer locks up at this point.

Anyone else seen this problem and have a solution for it?
