Start xawtv from an xterm, and pass it this argument (quoted from the man 
page for xawtv)

                -c, -device device
               set video4linux device (default is  /dev/video0).   This  option
               also disables Xvideo support.

See if it works given the appropriate video device.

You will probably want to specify an audio device too; the man page for 
xawtv explains how. It also offers many other useful setting choices.

Once you have the second card working with xawtv, if it still does not work 
with MythTV, you will need to describe the setup in more detail to get any 
real help. I do assume that the first card works fine now with MythTV, 
making it likely that your problem with this second card is at the V4L 
level, not the Myth level.

Of course, the definitive test for the card itself working is to remove the 
other card, so that it is the only card in the system, temporarily 
substitute some other video card, and see if it works then.
