[mythtv-users] RedHat 9.0 in the Howto

I've read some messages in the archive and recently on the list
regarding making changes to the howto to include RH 9.0 and possibly
simplifying some things or adding more detail. Is this still in
progress? For those of us who don't want to install an older version of
RedHat, what has changed with regard to a myth install? Please share
your tweaks and tricks.
So far as I can tell I am going to have to use info from no less than 4
sources to get this up and running. I have RedHat 9.0 installed,
up2date is working and apt-for RPM is working. I've installed synaptic,
xawtv and xine. I've check to see that DMA is working for the drives
and checked that the tv capture cards are identified at boot. The BTTV
module is not installed so I'm reading there to see what I have to do.
I also have an ATI Radeon 7000 so I'm reading up on that. I have 2
capture cards that I have not seen mentioned here. I'm willing to work
harder on this since I already have the cards and they are in the box.
I have an I/O Magic DR-PCTV100 w/ bt878(supposed to be the same as one
of the Pinnacle cards) and an older STB TV/FM card with the bt848 chip.
I'm using a Sound Blaster Live! Value and thankfully it was recognized
during install to save me some time. I have a BX chipset motherboard
with a PIII-500 and 384MB of Ram, 3c905B NIC.
My processor might not be enough to handle this, but we shall see. I'd
just like to see if I can make all this work. I'm keeping notes as I
work through the install to rember where I am and to hopefully add to
the docs if possible. I also hope to do a presentation for my LUG when
I get it running. Thanks in advance for any advice.

P.S. I found a couple of FM Radio programs to work the FM feature of my
card the other day, http://www.exploits.org/v4l/ has about five. I
posted before about the possiblity of MythRadio and got no response. I
saw in the archives that some other people are interested, but I can't
complete the signup for the list at woogie.net. Is this dead? If so
I'll just set the player portion up with one of the programs I found.
