[mythtv-users] Idea for a new plugin

Yesterday evening my wife and I had a hard time to choose a movie to 
watch and I thought that it would be funny to have a plugin for Mythtv
which could do this job. Something like a movie channel (mythchannel 
would be a nice name). The plugin could , for example, each morning at 4 
a.m. randomly put together a programm-guide for the day. Don't know if 
this idea is old, but I'm interested if you have similar problems 
choosing a movie to look at.
Maybe it is then possible that mythtv(mythchannel) could also mix in 
some recordings. For example if you always record the newest news-show 
from your favorite news-channel then mythchannel can show the news 
between 2 movies.
Another extension to it could be that if you maybe have a folder with a 
lot of simpsons-episodes then you can define that mythchannel should 
show each day at 5 p.m. one of the simpsons-episodes.
Is this all a stupid Idea ?
