There appears to be a bug that was introduced sometime after 0.8 that causes
an in-progress recording to always restart after you delete it.  I'm seeing
this behavior with CVS from 6/10 (roughly == 0.9.1).  I believe this was
first reported last week; not sure if it's been fixed (don't recall anything
on the -commits list).  I'm in the process of updating to today's CVS; I'll
check to see if this behavior is still there.
