Hello all!

After a few weeks of working at it, I've finally been able to get MythTV running
and was able to view some TV on it for the first time tonite. I'm pretty
psyched! Thanks to those who have put the time into this project and made it a
reality.

That being said, I have a few new problems to work through.

My system is a 600 mHz Compaq Presario, with the Hauppauge pvr-250 and a PNY
Verto G-Force FX 5200 PCI card. 512mb RAM running Redhat 9.

First problem is that, when hooked up to the TV for a monitor, all of the
display is in black and white ... including the OS and MythTV. It was in color
up from boot up until the time that the *big* nvidia logo loaded. From then on,
it was black & white. Symptomatically, as soon as you leave the GUI to
shutdown, the screen becomes garbage. Any clues on that?

I also have some choppyness in the video & audio. I assume that is related to
performance tweeks needed due to the slow processor. Suggestions?

Thanks again to everyone. This is certainly an interesting ride, and one that
will hopefully provide me with a much needed crap filter for my window into the
outside world that we refer to as television. <g>
