[mythtv-users] Mythtv.9 - increased choppiness of video/ dropped frames

I too have observed this increased choppiness as well.  I think 
something changed on or around 5/27 in CVS that rendered playback (or is 
it encoding?) choppy compared to before.  Ever since that time 
subsequent recordings have had dropped frames lasting around 1 sec. or 
so, and generally comes in bunches...

I can't put my finger on where in the code is responsible for the 
choppiness coming from, but my system has had no change (HW/SW) besides 
mythtv for at least two months now.  I've even turned off cron to 
eliminate this possibility but it still happens...

Nothing of importance changed in that time period.
