TV-Out is enabled during boot.  I can enter the BIOS, see the
Mandrake boot screen, etc.  I don't have a VGA device hooked up, so I
don't know if both would be enabled during boot if the Asus sees two
devices.

Well, I certainly was willing to try it out, so I did.  The advantage
of a P4 vs a Celeron at that speed has to do with cache size and FSB
(400 vs. 533).  The core is the same.  I haven't run into any
problems with the 2.4Ghz Celeron, and it cost about half of a P4
2.4Ghz CPU.
