[mythtv-users] Weird error message...

I am getting weird error messages when I start mythbackend & mythfrontend.
myathbackend:
Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the 
authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based 
authentication failed
Starting up as the master server.

mythfrontend:
Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the 
authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based 
authentication failed
connecting to backend server: 127.0.0.1:6543

Note: the backend won't start unless I am root, and the front end will 
start, but I "loose" all my add on programs, like mythweather when I 
don't start as root.  Eather way MythTV works fine, it's just that these 
errors are a little weird.

My System:
Mandrake 9.1, MythTV Installed from Compile, everything else from RPMs
POT (plain old Tuner (C) 2003 Matt) Gforce FX 5200 w/ latest NVidia 
Driver 4496 I think,
running from Gnome, KDE is not installed.

This is no big deal, but any ideas would be great.
