[mythtv-users] quick boot

What do you mean a minimum list of modules? Mandrake 9.1 computes a list of
needed modules based on the hardware present and then loads them. You can
reduce the boot time by compiling your own kernel and compiling in just what
you need. Also turn off any service that's not needed for MythTV (which is
a lot of them).

Subject: [mythtv-users] quick boot

Running Mandrake 9.1
Is there a way to make MythTV boot immediately w/ all modules?
Can it skip loading, or more importantly showing, the GUI even though MythTV
needs it?

Is there a list of the minimum Mandrake modules needed to just run MythTV?

Obviously I am trying to reduce boot time & make it truly remote friendly
for Linux illiterate users.
I've seen this idea before -Any thoughts? Links to answers are appreciated.
