Dear all --

I have configured nxtvepg (at http://nxtvepg.sourceforge.net) on a
server to pull epg data from 3 european TV channels. The Nextview
information captured by this software is being transmitted in a
teletext-like fashion for adequately equipped TV sets (that collect the
data to build an on-screen EPG). nxtvepg dumps its data in xmltv format
to http://www.gerges.net/xmltv.php in .tar.gz form. Mythtv users are
invited to catch this file using "wget http://www.gerges.net/xmltv.php
-O xmltv.tar.gz" and tar -zxvf the received file, before they feed it
to mythfilldatabase --file.

The xml file comes at around 3.5 MB unpacked right now, and has EPG
information for following channels: M6, arte, FR5, TF1, FR3, FR2,
Canal+, Pro7, ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sat1, BR3, HR3, NDR, SW BW, WDR, MDR, RBB
Br, 3sat, VIVA, Kabel1, Super RTL, VOX, RTL2, 9live, DSF, Eurosport,
KiKa, n-tv, ORF2, RBB Be, MTV, BR A, TRT, N24, Phoenix, Tele5, TV5,
TSR, TSR2. Programmes within the next several hours typically have
detailed info with them, programmes further in the future often only
come with title/genre description. Therefore I'm pushing the data to
the server twice a day, around 3PM and around 8PM CET.

Long term goal is to pull push the data into a database that'll allow
to download only those channels one is interested in... but that may
take some time...

Enjoy.
