[mythtv-users] Number of "OLDEST" episodes to keep

First I want to give a big thanks to all the developers who work on this
project. Got everything setup and am very pleased with the ease of use. We
set it up with our secondary TV and use it now more than our TIVO. Ripped
all of my daughters favorite DVDs so she can easily watch whatever she
wants, great TV recording functionality, all of our mp3s are accessible and
best of all...MAME!!

There is one thing I would like to see or maybe I'm just missing it
somewhere. In the recording screen there is now the option to keep a
specified number of the most recent episodes. What I am looking for is  a
way to do just the opposite! On our Tivo we can set it up to record every
episode of a program (Season Pass) but will not delete it till we tell it
to. Then you set it to keep, for example, 3 episodes and it will record
those 3 episodes and then stop recording any more showings till you delete
one of those 3 at which time will record a replacement. This works out
perfect for older syndicated shows where there are 50 episodes a week but
you only want to keep 3 or 4. That way it doesn't keep "recording
new/deleting old" over and over which allows those time slots to be opened
up for other recordings
