[mythtv-users]Help on w/2 modules and a tv-out/overscan question

First off, im running tv-out SVIDEO through my GF2MX 400, its pretty
good however I have a 1" black border around the screen.  So I added
this
Option "TVOverScan" "0.60
But it didn't change anything, yes I am using the nvidia driver.  I put
that in the Monitor section.
Any ideas there?
Next, 2 module questions
1. mythvideo, I followed the mandrake 9.1 instructions line by line,
however on this line 
mysql -u mythtv -p < metadata.sql
it asked me for a password, so I just pressed enter b/c I never set one
but it didn't work.  So I instead ran it mysql -u root < metadata.sql
will that work or did I do something wrong?  Thanks
2. mythweather keeps timing out while trying to update, I set it to my
town, it says timeout, change aggressiveness options, I literally tried
all 15 aggressiveness settings.  I couldn't get one of them to update
properly.  Is it possible b/c its connected through a 50' cat5 cable?
Browsing/downloading from the web works however.
