[mythtv-users] Mythfilldatabase question

The does seem to be a looong time, but then again I've never tried to
run it over dialup before.

The mythfilldatabase likely should run as the mythtv user.  The Debian
packages for instance run a shell script which runs:
su mythtv -c "mythfilldatabase --quiet"
