if you wanted to, its very easy to change the lines back the way they 
were before.  just edit msp3400.c and look at lines 333-5:

now, this is from my file, so i have it working the old way already. 
 kevin only commented out the old init values.  just make sure you are 
using the line that matches my 334: here and you should be fine.

anyway, this is probably more an ivtv list sorta discussion.
