[mythtv-users] PVR-350 - Should I send it back?

Why not use the TV-Out on the Pundit and keep the 350 ? I think it
might be easier for you to work with it that way than the buggy 350
output at this stage, especially if you are new to Linux. MythTV is a
big bite to chew off for a Linux newbie. :-)

	Ok,

For Christmas my wife was wonderful enough to buy me an Asus
Pundit, CPU, Memory and a Hauppauge PVR-350. I had given her the
hardware list after reading the Mythtv web page, and lurking on the list
for a while.

Now that I have gotten the devices, I am wondering if I should
send in the 350 and get a PVR-250 instead. Here is why I may want to:

	- I am a Linux Newbie- I know there are excellent docs out
there to help me, but I am pretty much a rank beginner and the 350 seems
like I need to be a little more "leet" to handle it.

	- I want to watch Divx shows- The main reason for the MythTv
box is so that I can watch shows I download from BitTorrent on the big
tv. Secondary purpose is to augment our Tivo.

So. I know that the 350's output is beautiful, but I also know
that I will have to transcode the Divx files into MPEG2 everytime I want
to watch them.

	What does the list think?
