Correct, which is why I pointed it out. Some people initially
believe that they have to have a local backend. Not true. In
fact, you can run a frontend on any linux machine on your network
even if you hadn't intended to use it as a 'myth box'. For example,
you can set up a myth box in the living room displaying full
screen on the TV then, oh by the way, run a mythfrontend in a
window in the corner of your desktop in another room.

No, the uncompressing is in the frontend so the compressed data
goes over the network. This should be no problem over 100mb or
802.11g. If you record with a more moderate bitrate, 10mb or
even 802.11b will work.
