[mythtv-users] Auto-transcoding... Make it stop! :)

I'm using the latest source from CVS (as of today).  I'm using two TV
cards (regular WinTV BTTV card and a PVR-350).  For the life of me I can
not figure out how to keep the transcoder from running.

I have it turned off in all the recording profiles including the
duplicate(?) settings under the trascoding profile.  How do these multiple
auto-transcoding settings work anyway?  You can set auto-transcoding in
the regular recording profile but there is also an auto-transcoding
setting in the transcode profile... How does that work?  Someone asked
this a couple days ago but nobody responded.

For auto-transcoding the documentation says look in "Setup" under
host-specific settings.  I assume that means the "setup" program and not
setup in mythfrontend (could be clearer).  However, there is no
auto-transcode setting in the "setup"  program under host-specific
settings.  I guess this has changed since the documentation was last
updated?

Anyway, I've turned it off every place I can find it and yet it continues
to run every single time anything is recorded.   There may be a chance
that the transcoder is only running on the PVR encoded (mpeg2) shows but
I'm not sure (the other card doesn't record very often).

I noticed in the codecparams database table it has an auto-transcode
field.  It is set to 0 in every instance I can see.
