[mythtv-users] ALSA Problem?

The more I play with this, the more confused I get.  I set the Capture
settings as Jarod's link below suggests, but all I got was some distorted
audio playing KDE_Startup.wav using aplay.  The ONLY slider that seemed to
have an effect on audio was the headset slider.  Could this potentially be a
hardware problem?

I can't remember ever actually using the Line In port on this card...so I
have nothing to compare it to...I don't know if it ever worked.  The headset
slider kind of disturbs me since it doesn't seem to make much sense to
me....LoL

I guess I'll try another card I have laying around as I'm at a loss as to
why this refuses to work.  I've tried everything from other users as well as
pages I've found with troubleshooting.  Seems like an odd issue to me.

I did that a few days ago and nothing changed...but let me give it another
try.  It's been a wacky week for me that's for sure!  Some tasks I nail
first shot, but others I feel like a fish out of water...considering I'm
usually a Windows guy.

If you have the jumper going to Line In, you need Line In muted, not at
100%, and it needs to be set as your Capture source. Check out this page for
