[mythtv-users] new user with questions

Thanks, I had ASSumed that it just used dma transfers to copy the video
stream into video card memory, but I see now that it has its own fb
device, very nice. so this really (for the most part) negates the need
for a "normal" video card altogether :)
I was unable to find any "official" docs, but a google search yielded a
message from this group from last month that has a fairly complete
how-to on getting it going.
some things that i didnt see were what tuner i should specifiy (though i
will probably never use it, it would be nice to have the option anyway),
and how to select the composite input (only because i cant seem to find
a vcr that has an svideo out for a decent price).
I will be using the card mainly for mythtv's pvr functions (hooked to my
directv reciever), but i also plan to use it for vhs->dvd transfer, so
any help, hints, techniques related to that would be appreciated :)
