Because 2 would only "probably" be enough, and four is just too many
when you started out needing one. :) No horror story here, just long
experience.

Now you have one for the next project, plus a spare.

There's also a little game theory talking here: CAT5 is so cheap that
having to think about doing this even one more time is more expensive
than an additional two pulls.

A good example just happened to at my work the other day.  The network
engineers asked the facilities/wiring guy to pull "just another pair"
of fiber risers (between floors) about six months ago.  He pulled six
pair.  They tried to get on to him about why they were suddenly out of
fiber (they needed some for me :) and he pulled out the list of things
they had committed it to that they said they'd never need.  That was
*funny*.

Besides, you know that as soon as your Myth setup works well enough
you're going to want to implement Mr. House or something. ;)
