[mythtv-users] MythGAME problems

Ok,
      Right now I am only trying to use Zsnes to play ROMS because xmame is
failing on something.  I can use zsnes from outside mythtv and it loads the
roms fine.  In mythgame setup I set the directory for SNES games to where
the roms are stored, and I set the binary to where zsnes executable is.  I
ran scan for games and in the command line it even picks up a couple of the
games.  HOwever when I go to mythgame, it shows SNES and XMAME neither of
which can be executed.

Any ideas?

I just learned.  And why are the menus for MythGame so darned slow???

Can you launch the games from the command line using xmame?  You may
need to set up an xmamerc with some settings before this will work.  It
took me about 4 hours to get my first rom to work.

Also, MythGame uses the xmame executable to scan for games.  If "Scan
for games" or whatever it reads doesn't appear to do anything (you
should get a progress dialog) then your mame executable path is not set
right in MythGame.  The default was wrong for mine.  Look to see exactly
where xmame (or xmame.SDL or whatever) is on your system and plug that
into MythGame.

Yep.  Also you'll need the right version of xmame for the roms you have
apparently.  That wasted another 3 hours of my time...
