[mythtv-users] Editing out commercials

Hey everybody,

having troubles with the concept.

In the myth setup up I have enabled commercial detection.

Does that mean that  the commercials are flagged so that I may use an 
external editor to cut them out?
Or does that mean that if I transcode to a different format it will 
remove them?
I just dont understand if this is an automatic process , or if this is 
something that happens to a live tv
recording before playback.

What I am trying to do is record the shows I miss while at work and 
watch them at a later time, with no commercials
The only viewing will be from the linux box so making it usable for 
windoze in not important.

Now that the Myth system is almost 90% reliable I am trying to fine tune 
it with all the features enabled and better resolutions.

my setup is :
shuttle av42n  1.6
pvr 250
soundblaster live!
