	Well, unless the hardware on the PVR/350 is very powerful, I would think it 
could not do both operations at the same time on the same card.  It would be 
able to do ONE or the other, but not both simultaneously.

	I forgot that the PVR/350 has both decoding and encoding hardware, so maybe 
it can do both at the same time.  Personally, I'd rather use separate cards 
if I want to encode and decode at the same time - less stress on individual 
hardware and perhaps drivers also.

	I'm going to get at least two cards to use with video encoding - a WinTV 
PVR/350 and probably that HDTV card that's designed for Linux.  I definitely 
want HDTV recording capability at some point, but don't have easy access to 
HD content right now, except via my DirecTV box.  I can't put up an outdoor 
HDTV antenna where I am currently living, but may be able to get acceptable 
quality from a good indoor antenna - I can get some HTDV stations on my 
standard antanna, but quality is not good.
