[mythtv-users] cable splitting with a cable modem

I called my cable company yesterday.  The only warning on splitting the cable is if you have 5+ cable box outs already.  At 5 and after the signal gets considerably weakened.

Look in the list archives for references to a RadioShack cable amp. 
I've got one, as do several others, and it works quite well, including 
bi-directional amplification, which is the key for cable modems.
