[mythtv-users] dark screen with MythTV

Hello all,

This is my first attempt with MythTV.  I'm using a WinTV Go card on a 
Celeron 466 machine with 256MB ram.  The OS is Debian Woody, with the 
2.4.18 kernel update.

I was able to get the software installed via deb packages, but when I go 
to "watch TV", screen just goes dark.  Unlike the similar FAQ entry, the 
keyboard or mouse do NOT cause any changes.  I have to send mythfrontend 
the TERM signal to recover.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong here?
