Ivan,

Use the lircd.conf sample file which contains all of the RC-5 codes instead
of trying to use irrecord. You can manually start the daemon and force
it to temporarily use the full RC-5 conf. Then use irw and press all of the
buttons on the remote. You should see a code displayed for each button
pressed. Note these and then create a new lircd.conf which copies the
codes for the keys you identified and changes the name of the key to a
useful name (like CH+ and MUTE). The key names in the RC-5 conf file
indicate the device number and a suffix. If you see keys with more than
one device number you might have to have more than one section in the
lircd.conf you create as a result. Hope this is all clear. If you have any
questions post again. Good luck!!
