[mythtv-users] Audigy AC3/SPDIF out?

Ok I have a lot bigger problem now. I downloaded the ALSA CVS, installed it,
and then my mythbox went to hell. ALSA never worked because I then found out
it has to be compiled with the same compiler as the kernel. So I compiled my
own 2.4.23, compiled ALSA. Now everything in general works (hardware wise),
ALSA is now working, i can use aplay, amixer, I hear sound, etc.

It now looks like btaudio isn't working anymore (tab nolonger exists on my
kmix panel), and MythTV keeps telling me it's trying to use OSS devices at
startup. I have it set to /dev/dsp for playback, but it gives errors about
buffering, a/v sync and bad settings. Whenever I change the Myth Volume
(internal mixer) it jumps from 40% to 240% in random ways and I never get
sound. aplay /dev/dsp plays static. Plus lirc no longer works, but I can
deal with that after sound.. any ideas on how to get sound to work in
mythtv?

ALSA users, what device do you use to record and playback from? /dev/dsp?
My kmix panel is the size of two screens with devices. My previous
configuration had capture on /dev/dsp3 which apparently was btaudio.
