As far as I'm aware Hauppauge isn't up to anything. Before
including the driver w/ KnoppMyth, I search the web and found other
non-Hauppauage site that included the drivers or firmware. I emailed
those folks and asked how they go permission to distribute the drivers
or firmware. I got a response back from Anthony at shspvr.com who got
me in touch with Hauppauge. I sign a software distribution license w/
Hauppauge so that I could include the drivers w/ KnoppMyth. I was asked
if I'd like a link to my site, to which I said yes! To date, I have
received nothing from Hauppuage. IvyTV needs the firmware from the
drivers. The firmware is the property of Conexant. Including the
drivers with my distribution is the easiest way to access the firmware.
Much thanks to Kevin and all the developers for IvyTV. Much thanks to
Isaac and all the developers for MythTV.

Cecil

PS:The link to the drivers is near the top of the page.
