[mythtv-users] Please help with XV

I've been googeling for about 4 hours now and can't for the life of me 
find a way to make xv work for my GeForce2 MX 400

I'm running Gentoo Linux.
I have a WinTV PVR-350

I've emerged (compiled) xfree
I've emerged (compiled) nvidia-kernel
I've emerged (compiled) mythtv
mythtv seems to work but the picture is real static-y (like non-cable TV 
without an antenna)
Since it's real choppy, I decided to check into things.  I found out 
what XVideo is (kinda) and typed xinfo in my terminal window.  It tells me:
X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
  no adaptors present

I've switched out 3 video cards (all nVidia's) and nothing seems to work.

I tried each card with and without the custom nVidia drivers.

Is there a compile flag somewhere I'm missing?
Is there a driver I don't have?
Is there a kernel modules I have to build to make it work?
Is there a setting in my XF86config I need to set?

Any help would be appreciated.
