[mythtv-users] Playback speeds/slows after a few minutes

Thanks for the reply, Jim. Here's some more info:

 >- what format are the recordings?

Recordings are using the RTjpeg Codec 480x480. Adjusting the audio sample
rate didn't make a difference.

 >- how are you getting them? (bttv, ivtv, ??)

Video input is coming from an old school bttv Hauppuage card but seems to
work great.

 >- does it always happen in the same spot in your recorded programs?

No. In fact, popping out to the menu and back in makes it go back to
normal for X number of minutes. So I can watch programs by popping out to
the menu every time it starts to mess up.

 >- if so, can you put an example of one of the faulty recordings up somewhere?

Sure, but it seems to be the playback since it happens at arbitrary
locations when I play the same program.

 >- is there anything else running on the system?

Nope. It's a new AMD 2000 XP system and 1 Gig of RAM. It's snappy so I
don't think it's getting loaded down.

 >- do you have any clock adjustment programs running, like ntpd?

Nope.

During playback it seems to lose its time reference. I've fiddled with the
options but nothing seems to solve it.

Thanks!
Doug
