Sounds like you're not capturing on the right input. I see snow if I 
try to capture on the tuner without an antenna or cable feed. Try some 
different -p values, and/or hook up something to the coax input.

Not sure what's going on there... You certainly do have enough color 
depth, and your card seems to be recognized just fine...
