I have the mplayer patch applied.  The problem may be that the patch 
didn't apply smoothly, though, so there may be something messed up in my 
frankenstein mplayer.  Is there someplace I can find a current patch? 
The patch was written for 0.90rc4, but mplayer is up to 0.91.

I have never had any luck with any of these export and conversion 
scripts because they all depend on having just the right versions of a 
plethora of external programs (mpeg2enc, mplex, exportvideo, nuvplay, 
nuvrec, etc).
