I've not been able to get any confirmation, but I'd heard rumors that
the DVI input on the Son's was somewhat proprietary in that the digital
stream had to have some sort of DRM stuff in it. My guess is that' a
crock, but I'd say check into it first. Let us know how it goes. I was
one of the unlucky ones who bought my HDTV about 3 months before they
started putting the DVI inputs on them. Still great TVs though. My
S-Video from my PC looks pretty good, and component input from the cable
box looks great for High definition. I'll probably break down and buy a
vga to component converter and the pchdtv for myth. That'll truly be the
total convergence device at that point.

Subject: [mythtv-users] ASUS Pundit DVI on HDTV display?

While I have been using Myth since last year, I just recently rebuilt
my box using the trés cool ASUS Pundit case (using two BT PCI cards).

I've been considering purchasing a widescreen HDTV display (probably a
Sony) and was wondering if the Pundit DVI output can be utilized or if
I'll be stuck with SVIDEO? Has anyone set theirs up this way?
