Well, in fact xmltv calls it 'bbc1.bbc.co.uk' since the 'id' attribute
is to identify channels and the <display-name> element is intended for
use only by humans.

I suppose you could have some mapping between the DVB names and the
xmltv channel ids.  This would need to be created by hand, since the
xmltv listings source has no way of knowing what the DVB channel names
are.
