[mythtv-users] [PATCH][kludge] mplayer patch to allow playing of RTJPEG/nuv files

Ok, I've made a patch (that includes mdz's patch). It's against mplayer
CVS from today. ( I think it would apply against older versions of
mplayer though.)

What I determined was that video frames with a compression type of 1
were not interpreted correctly, but type 2 are. In the files created by
my system V/2 frames dominate, and the V/1 frames are far fewer. I took
advantage of this to just copy the previous frame when we get a V/1
frame. This means it will look a little jerky when V/1 frames are found
in the file, but it still looks better than the green blotches I was
getting.

I told you it was a kludge.

Still, I'm not done looking into it although it looks bleak for me to
figure out what the real problem is. Let me know if this works for
anyone...

PS: This may break reading of other standard RTJPEG/nuv files, but I
don't have any to test with.

Aran
