[mythtv-users] High Load, Low CPU -- what could cause this...

I'm pretty sure you're seeing a lot of load because of the large amount of
I/O when reading data from the video source and then writing it somewhere,
either to disk or network. If you look at what you posted, you'll see
"iowait  84.1%". I/O intensive tasks always seem to crank up the load
averages on the servers at work, so I'm guessing that's what's going on in
your case. Same stuff happens on my myth box too.

I'm constantly getting high CPU Loads, although I've got pleanty of free
processor capacity....  Any ideas on what is causing the high load?
