[mythtv-users] native lirc support

irxevent is not required for native lirc support. lircd does need to be
running though.

I think lircd should log output to /var/log/lircd - one of the things it
will log is when mythtv attaches itself to lircd. Can you see if you're
getting anything there? You might have to start lircd with some debugging
flags, or rebuild it with debug enabled.

What version of myth are you running?
