You can buy a 6 in 1 reader that fits in a 3.5" bay for maybe $30
Also, i have a driver for the ms remote/usb ir receiver working with lirc.
They wont add it into lirc cvs because it's a bit on the hacky side, but
it's available if people want it. You can buy the remote/usb receiver for
about $30 on newegg.com
