[mythtv-users] MythVideo/Xine Moving Fullscreen Display Window

I found an acceptable solution to this by setting VideoDefaultPlayer to
/usr/bin/xine -BG 1168x660+24+6 -p %s
I am not sure yet if it makes much difference in quality of playback using a
window vs. fullscreen playback, I am not seeing any difference, in fact it
looks damned amazing...

I still need to try to force my 34XBR800 to use DVI instead of a VGA to
component video transcoder.
I never could get DVI to work right, but I may have had the wrong cable,
I'll try it soon to eliminate the overscan at 720p.

The centering thing was an incorrect value in .xine/config settings that was
setting a default other than 50.

Subject: [mythtv-users] MythVideo/Xine Moving Fullscreen Display Window

When using MythVideo and Xine, I need to be able to move the offset for the
Fullscreen Display, I have an overscanned TV and it's not centering
correctly, I am not sure if this is aggravated from the offset being set in
MythTV but I recall it was centered before I adjusted MythTV to fit nicely
without overscan.

In the windows app ZoomPlayer, I can move the offset around at will, but I
don't know if this is even possible with Xine or MPlayer, I have dug around
for several hours reading lists and docs for both players and can't seem to
find any settings that can do this. I am sure it's possible, just need to
find the strings to send at startup, or better yet, have a kemap that lets
it be done on the fly similar to Xine's zoom which is required too for
videos with bad aspects embedded.

Thanks
